Cedar Creek Inn Restaurant – Tasty Food at Great Prices – Palm Springs, California

Good Atmosphere, Decent Prices, Tasty Food
After our fun-filled excursion to the Cabazon Outlet Stores we were starving! We recalled hearing about a restaurant that used to be in Lake Arrowhead, CA called the Cedar Creek Inn. We had passed it the other night on our way back to the timeshare after leaving the Blue Coyote. Since we had just eaten a lovely and quite elegant meal only the night before at Morton’s Steakhouse in Palm Desert, I was in the mood for something a little more casual – but with great atmosphere and yummy food.

The Atmosphere and Service
The Cedar Creek Inn turned out to fit the bill. This restaurant was quite spacious, and decorated nicely. It features large patios strung with lights, looks great at night! The place was not that crowded and we were seated right away.

Their booth section was closed, so we had a table. The table and flatware were decent. The menus were a bit dirty though, to be expected after the amount of traffic they must have had that day (the place seems to be popular with locals). A quiet busboy served us waters and dropped off cloth napkins.

Our server came by a few minutes later. She seemed nice, though a bit busy. She took our drink order (coke and diet coke) and said she’d be back. After receiving our drinks, we placed our order. We ordered one of their specials, spaghetti with meatballs and fettuccini alfredo with 2 salads and a dessert to split after dinner (all for $19.95). The food arrived fairly quickly, and, it was pretty tasty. My salad was with Ranch, my husband’s was a Caesar. The food was good, no frills. He got a bowl of pasta with meatballs, I got a bowl of fettuccini alfredo. For dessert, our waitress brought out the dessert tray for us to view. We selected a chocolate fudge type cake with a pecan crust, she said it was very rich and a great dessert to split – she was right!

Then…our waitress went missing in action for awhile, but, we weren’t in a hurry. We got a busboy to go get her so we could get our bill (it wasn’t that busy, she must have been cleaning up in the back). Our timeshare has a “priveleges” card, and the Cedar Creek Inn offers a discount to us. We presented our card and were told that the discount is not valid on “specials” which we had ordered. We understood. All in all – it was a decent, pretty yummy experience in a nice setting. I’d eat there again.
